Du Wei’s Photo Exhibition

On the afternoon of October 20, the surrealistic photo exhibition entitledGuessing Peopleopened in the library on South Campus, which was organized by School of Art.

The photographer of the photo exhibition was Du Wei, a renowned photographer in China. In 1992, he graduated from photography class of Art Department, Harbin Normal University. In 1998, he went to study in Australia. In 2001, he worked as a photographer in Heilongjiang News Photo Agency. From 2001 to 2006, he entered for exhibitions in Heilongjiang Province and won some prizes. In recent years, he held his personal exhibitions successfully during the photography festivals in Beijing, Pingyao, Yunan, etc.

There were more than 70 pieces of work in the exhibition. Through lenses, the photographer showed perfectly the objects’ longing for another world without rational, moral and ethical restrictions. Thus the audience might feel as if they had been in a fantastic dream. Leaders, teachers and students from the School of Art attended the exhibition.(Photos by Zhang Honglei)
