Li Lanying Wins 2018 Honorary Title of Advanced Teaching Moral Individual of the Heilongjiang Educational System

In order to fundamentally implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and widely spread the spirit of teaching ethics and selfless devotion within the whole educational system of our province, according to the requirement of HeilongjiangProvincialCommittee of the CPCand Heilongjiang government’s suggestions on deepening the reform of the construction of teaching staff in new era (issused by Heilongjiang province [2018] No. 30), the HeilongjiangProvincialDepartmentofEducational organizes a campaign to select the advanced collectives and individuals of the whole educational system for the year 2018 province-wide. In total, 46 advanced collectives and 165 advanced individuals are selected. Li Lanying, a professor of the Institute of Computer Science and Technology as well as the Master Tutor, wins the honorary title of “The advanced teaching moral individual for the year 2018 of Heilongjiang province”.

Professor Li has devoted herself to teaching for over 30 years, she lectured more than 10 undergraduate courses and graduate courses. As the primary lecturer of a provincial excellent course, she loves her job and is absorbed in teaching decade by decade, although she takes in an ordinary position, she has made extraordinary contribution in fact. Meanwhile, as a reserved leader in her discipline, an assessment expert of Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as a Master Tutor, she devotes herself to scientific research together with students in order to cultivate and stimulate the scientific interest of students, she guides students with awareness of cooperation, innovative spirit of scientific research in order to widen their international horizons therefore their scientific projects will be foresighted and innovative.

This campaign further demonstrates the good image of rigorous academic attitude, teaching ethics, love and respect to jobs and selfless devotion of the teachers in HUST, which sets good examples for the teaching staff. It is hoped that the whole faculty take this opportunity and uphold teaching ethics as the fundamental task and continuously boost the teachers’ ethics as well as teaching skills thus contributing more to the development and construction of HUST.
