HUST Ranks Top 5 in 2016 National College Russian Contest

From Oct. 21 to 23, the 2016 National College Russian Contest was held successfully. The contest was held by Department of International Cooperation and Communication, Ministry of Education, and undertook by Heilongjiang University. Contestant Kang Liying from our university won the second prize in the postgraduate group; Li Siqi from grade 15 won the third prize in the low grade group; Ma Heping from grade 13 won the third prize in the talent competition. Kang Liying and Li Siqi will study in Russia for one year funded by the Chinese Scholarship Council. Harbin University of Science and Technology, together with PLA Foreign Languages Institute, Sichuan International Studies University, Xi’an International Studies University, ranked top 5 in this contest. HUST was the only university of science and technology.

This contest is the most authoritative Russian competition and is held once a year. 126 universities registered to take part in the contest in 2016, and the contestants amounted to 325. The contest provides a communication platform for contestants.
