From Aug. 17 to Aug. 20, 2016, the 11th “Hua Wei Cup” China Graduate Electronics Design Final Contest was held in Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone. This contest was co-sponsored by China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, National Engineering Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee, China Electronics Association and many famous universities, undertook by Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone. Graduates from our university won two national second prizes and five national third prizes. Our university won the excellent organizer prize.
This contest won the wide attention. In the preliminary stage, 1404 teams registered and took part in the contest from all the nation. The valid works arrived at 1442, among which the technical competition works were 1248, and business plan competition works 194. In the final contest, 317 works competed from 115 competing units. There were 41 teams in the preliminary stage from our university, after the fierce competition in competition zone and finals, 6 teams won 7 national prizes. In addition, 5 teams won the first prize in Northeast zone, 15 teams won the second prizes in the Northeast zone, 19 teams won the third prizes in the Northeast zone.
In order to improve the innovative practical ability of our graduate, the Graduate Department and College of Surveying and Communication reviewed the works and made suggestions for revision before the contest in Northeast Zone, which improved the quality of the competing works.
Our university leaders pay attention to the reform and innovation of graduate training mode and practice innovation consciousness and ability.
